What this lesson covers
SMS settings locate the text messaging service and notifications. Identify the provider account and message purpose before enabling it. This short walkthrough helps you reach the correct configuration page before proceeding.
Before you start
Identify the SMS account owner and an authorized test number. This lesson sends no text message and consumes no provider credit.
Follow the walkthrough
1. Sign in to the intended workspace. Open Connections and select Conversation channels.
2. Find the SMS settings card and read its description. SMS settings locate the text messaging service and notifications. Identify the provider account and message purpose before enabling it.
3. Open the card and check the destination heading. This lesson locates the settings; it does not demonstrate entering credentials or saving configuration changes.
Check the result
The SMS settings heading confirms that you reached the right page. Opening configuration does not establish a connection or prove that data is moving. Check connection status and the first actual operation separately.
Using this in your workspace
Before a real send, review sender, recipient and message text. Provider acceptance and delivery to the phone are different states and should be checked separately.
