Duplicate review helps keep sales records organized. Similar names alone do not establish that two contacts represent the same customer. This short walkthrough helps you reach the correct configuration page before proceeding.
Before you start
Use suitable organization access and choose comparison fields such as phone numbers. Identify the primary record and required information in both records before merging.
Follow the walkthrough
1. Sign in to the intended workspace. Open Settings and select Organization.
2. Find the Duplicate contacts card and read its description. Duplicate review helps keep sales records organized. Similar names alone do not establish that two contacts represent the same customer.
3. Open the card and check the destination heading. This lesson locates the settings; it does not demonstrate entering credentials or saving configuration changes.
Check the result
The Duplicate contacts heading confirms that you reached the right page. Viewing options does not save a new preference. If you change a setting later, reload the page and verify the retained value.
Using this in your workspace
This lesson merges or deletes no contacts. In real reviews, inspect linked activities and opportunities; one customer number may legitimately appear in multiple sales opportunities.
